Nobody takes care of the restaurant owner. You feed the neighbourhood, employ half of it, and carry the other half’s birthdays and anniversaries — and in return you get software built for stable power grids, admin that eats your Sundays, and “smart” systems that quietly ship your margins to someone else’s cloud.

Noosh started from one stubborn conviction: a restaurant’s software should behave like its best employee. It should keep working when the lights go out. It should do the paperwork without being asked. It should notice when stock goes missing, when a supplier’s prices creep, when a regular hasn’t been in for a while — and say so, plainly, before it costs you money.

So we built it that way, for the hardest place to run a restaurant we know: South Africa. Load-shedding first, not as an afterthought. AI that runs on-site — because your recipes, your margins and your guest list are nobody’s training data. Reports that include the unflattering lines, because a profit number you can’t trust is worse than none.

The name? Noosh comes from an old toast that means “may it nourish you” — and South Africans have called good food nosh for a century. A word for taking care of people, in a product that takes care of the people who do the feeding. That’s the whole idea.
